Advocate art agency

Over the last three weeks I have been interning at advocate art agency. I have learnt alot from working here and an overall better knowledge of the ins and outs of an art agency and some great portfolio advice. It has been a hectic couple of weeks but expect to see more illustrations with all my new inspirations, lots more exciting things to come. I also finally got to read the book My Escape from Venice Prison by Giacomo Casanova while commuting, great book would throughly recommend it.

As well as interning I have been very busy with pet portraits, other commissions and illustrations for the canine games, londons first dog festival next saturday 7th july. Will be posting very soon :)

Queens Diamond Jubilee

To celebrate the Queens diamond jubilee and her incredible 60 years on the throne, I was inspired to do some jubilee theme products. Obviously with her love for courgi's  I had to draw them. All of my new products are available to buy in my etsy shop

There are also bookmarks available to buy now with my illustrations on :)http://www.etsy.com/shop/AlexandraRolfe?ref=si_shop

City Showcase soho flea market

A delayed post but a couple of weeks ago I had a stall with city showcase at their first flea market in soho. After a manic couple of days before hand getting things ready, packed and finally buying new colourful tablecloths :) I was pleased with how my stall looked.
It turned out to be a lovely sunny day for the market except for the wind (note to self, buy table clips) , it was a good turn out and good atmosphere and had some great responses to my illustrations.

As you can see from the photographs above I made a pet bunting which turned out to be suprisingly popular. So by popular demand :) I will be making and selling dog buntings soon.

As well as having some great support from family and friends who came to my stall on the day to help and keep me company, the other stallholders were just as lovely. You can kind of see in the photograph I was next to Maria from Plastic seconds who makes some really unique recycled jewellery and next to rosie brooks who is a very talented illustrator.
Would defintely do it again next year was great for the first year :)
