Cats in the snow

My cats don't particularly like the snow, they're house cats and only go out on the balcony so Tallulah below was being very brave for her :p

Born and Bred exhibition

On Thursday 13th September I went to the Born and Bred exhibition by Rowan Arts Project on Holloway Road. When I finished University I interned with them as an Arts event organiser for 7 months raising awareness of arts within the community helping with different projects and events. I joined when their exhibition Making Inroads had just finished which was about bringing people from different communities and hearing their stories.

They asked me to produce an illustration for their project born and bred to contribute to getting planning from the arts council. I Illustrated the building of Chris Stevens Ltd using watercolour for half and pencil and pencil for the bottom half of the illustration.

Here is my illustration in the book

Here are some photographs of the night and some of the stories

It was such an interesting project and was glad to be apart of it.

Thames Festival

Had such an eventful weekend, we was lucky enough to get tickets to go to the paralympics athletics stadium on the last night on saturday 8th september. It was fantastic all the athletes were amazing and took some beautiful photos of the sunset whilst in the stadium as well!

On the sunday I was up bright and early for a long day ready for our stall at the We Make London section of the thames festival. The mayors thames festival was on the 8th and the 9th and there was lots of entertainment throughout the weekend including live music, fireworks and a carnival. The weekend had a great atmosphere and I'm glad I was apart of it.

I took a few photos of my stall and was happy with the display selling my new buntings which will be available to buy in my etsy shop very soon.

Another photo of my stall with me hiding in the corner behind my display :) It was such a friendly vibe and was surrounded by lovely stallholders with some amazing work. To name a few Helen from Frances & Francis makes beautiful paper flowers, Grace & Firefly made lovely jewellery, Matilda Rose is super talented creating charming textile art.

At night all the lights looked very pretty although my photography skills aren't the best.

It was my first time having a stall at a festival and I would definitely do it again!
