I blogged recently about my illustration for Paw palace of their gorgeous bichon frise called Coco. They used the illustration for their banner at a recent dog show. I thought I would share these photographs with you :)

Olympics Discount code

To celebrate the Olympics - especially being local and how well team GB are doing - I have a code available for my shop. Use code OLYMPICS2012 to get 10% off everything.
The London 2012 Olympics have been a huge success, and I am very proud of team GB's success.  However, I must confess I have been abit of a hermit recently these past two weeks, what with working and watching/going to the Olympics and supporting our team.

Below is a photo, posted by Andy Murray, of him and his two Border Terriers with gold & silver Olympic Medals.

I am available for commissions of pet portraits, and this image above would be a lovely example of a memory to have with your pet of the London 2012 Olympics. Custom pet portraits are available here.

Paw Palace logo design

I was contacted by the online pet boutique Paw Palace to design their logo. I was very pleased with how it turned out and so was Paw Palace. You can find Paw Palace online shop here and on twitter @paw_palace for pampered pooches.

Paw Palace also commissioned me to illustrate their gorgeous Bichon Frise Coco wearing a crown as well. Which has proven to be a popular design in the jubilee year

Alice in woofland

For the canine games I was asked to design illustrations for their alice in woofland section. I illustrated 6 characters based on the book as dogs. They are also available to buy here

Alice as an Afgan dog

 Dormouse as a chihuahua

George a french bulldog

March Hare as a papillion dog

Mad Hatter as a siberian husky

White Rabbit as a westie

Lilac and the Blues

I sell my work on Etsy.com, and recently made a Treasury Lists which showcases other sellers products. I based my theme on the seller All The Adorables social network buttons below.

I really liked the colour combination, and it inspired me to make my new treasury list, Lilac and the Blues .

Below is a vintage, 1970s dress from Southern Dropout; which I think is rather elegant.

I also found these shorts from the STEEL Age, which are just awesome.

I also have to give a mention to 2DancingDogs for their cute elephant rag doll, and Fizzy Claret for their clay bear; both items too cute not to be included in the treasury.

My favourite piece has to be this silver pendent from A Cup of Sparkle. I just love the design.

There are plenty more stunning pieces in my new treasury list from many different Etsy sellers, so please have a look.

My time at the Canine games

My Time at the Canine Games

Well, the Canine Games have been and gone (Saturday 7th July), and I feel very honoured to have been able to take part in this wonderful event.  Unfortunately the original venue, Haggerston Park, had to change at the very last minute.  Due to the adverse weather warnings, it was decided it was perhaps best not to hold the event outside; fortunately, thanks to Bethnal Green Working Men’s club kindly supplying us with a new venue, everyone was able to keep dry should the weather have turned.

Despite being indoors and now in a smaller venue, this didn’t dampen the atmosphere.  The event was londons first dog festival  and was great meeting all the wonderful people who helped make this festival happen, hopefully will be many more to come.  I also loved seeing all the dogs, and will no doubt be using this inspiration in my work.

My work was featured in Alice in Woofland and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party for this event.

As was this stunning piece by Cake Doggy Dog.

I also had a stall selling my work too.

The whole day was a lot of fun for dogs and dog owners alike.  There were many stools, contests, and fun events to be had.  There was even an opening ceremony where many dogs were dressed up in some amazing hand-made costumes.  We even had an appearance from superstar, Mugly!

And at the end, my dog, Jake, got married! (He's the Airedale)

This was a superb event which raised money and awareness for many dog charities.  I would love to be part of the next one.

Please also check out some more photos from the Dog Reporter & the Canine Games on Flickr.  Both of who got some great doggy photos of the day, and some of my work too.
